After reading a number of reviews on Amazon and other sites, I felt that this piece of furniture was the best value available. By the way, I ordered this piece and paid for 1-day shipping, which was only $10 and it arrived in 1-day, all 113 lbs! A couple of things you should know before purchasing this item. First, it is 100% particle board, no real wood. Not necessarily a problem, but just so you know what you are getting. Second, check all pieces before assembling. I got about half-way through the 3 1/2 hour job (not sure how the one reviewer did it in 1 hour!) and realized that one of the pieces had cracked paint. Given the location of the piece and the lack of desire to return, I continued anyway. Some of the pieces don't line up as well as they should and you may need to force a few together. (Doors are tricky to line up perfectly) However, given the price I paid and the strength and appearance of the piece, I still feel it was a good purchase. It looks like I spent twice as much on it. It took about an hour to put it together, and the finished product is excellent. It is very sturdy for our tv (a 42' flat screen Philips weighing about 90 lbs) and it's the perfect length, doesn't sag in the middle at all. The black finish looks great as well, hasn't scratched. Great TV Stand By George J. Abdallah Purchased this stand along with a Samsung 52LN750. Coincidentally, this stand matched perfectly with my current decor. It looks fantastic when put together properly, particle board or not. Very sturdy as well. I gave it four stars because of how generic the instructions are and because a couple of the pieces were a little roughed up. Luckily it kind of blended in with the natural "antique" look the stand possesses and there is no need to return anything. Additionally, it is extremely difficult to line up the cabinet doors evenly. We got them as even as possible, but they are still not level. Good thing is that it is only apparent up close, at TV viewing distance you cannot tell what-so-ever. Amazon gets 5 stars because of speedy shipment and the fact that the price was about $30 less than what it is at the time of me writing this review. I would definitely recommend this piece if you have the time and ability to put it together. Looks nice, shoddy construction By Johnson The cabinet and wood finish looks nice, and as advertised the piece is made out of real wood. Once I had the thing built, I was pretty happy with it, but I found the building experience to be pretty disappointing. The pieces showed up in a flat pack box Ikea style, but I have to say that the assembly didn't proceed as smoothly as what I'm used to. The construction is mostly wood pegs and wood screws, and the thing showed up short two pegs. I had the general impression as I unpacked the box that little care went into making sure everything needed was in there. The two sheets from the assembly instructions were on opposite ends of the box, which was a minor annoyance. Finally, one of the shelves showed up with the paneling lifted, necessitating quite a bit of glue to fix. At the end of the day, I like the furniture.... but I was pretty irritated with it while I was putting it together. 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Worst piece of furniture I've ever owned By NB Read my whole review before buying--buyer beware I bought this, spent an hour assembling. Upon final glance, edges did not meet, corners did not touch, and I could see light beaming through the edges. So I started back at square one. I told myself hey--don't get worked up, you just didn't tighten this or that or didn't do something right. Oh no--a bit later, assembled again, it was in fact, not a 'square' piece of furniture as in edges don't meet properly or align and I'm pissed. I can't even begin to express how frustrating it is to spend almost two hours with the POS tv stand only for it to be such shoddy construction. Then I told myself I'd never buy Winsome again. But wait--I had forgotten I bought a Winsome night stand, which when assembled cracked within a week. Also, lets not forget the bookcase I bought, also in the Espresso color, which doesn't match this 'Espresso' color at all. I thought about disassembling it and shipping the crap back to Amazon, but that would be a ton of work, and then I'd likely get shipped back out another 'made in thailand' piece of crap. I have to say, I'm not a frequent review writer, but how terrible this product is urged me to get online right away and let others know so they dont make the same mistake. Beuatiful TV stand By VJ I recently got a 46 lcd tv and needed a stand that was both strong and had a high utility value. The major + for the stand is 1. It has space for 5 boxes (as in DVR, DVD Player, Gaming Console, Home Theater Receiver) and 4 of these are covered by glass preventing build up of dust and also allowing remote access. 2. Its pretty solid and can with stand a good heavy TV. 3. It has a draw to store extra cables and CD/DVDs and that clutter is not visible on the outside. 4. Easy to assemble. Dont need any fancy tools. The negatives. 1. The whole thing is very heavy. Close to 100 lbs. So moving the package around and unpacking can be quite a task. Make sure you assemble this quite close to where you want it placed. 2. It takes about 3-4 hours to put it together. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Just as advertised By Danzero Very well constructed piece of furniture. The materials are high quality and it looks great when put together. It took a little over an hour to put together and that's mainly due to the lack of labeling on the parts of the unit. The instructions were very Ikea-esque and sometimes it made it difficult to know which panel they were referring. You had to be careful to make sure you knew which part of the unit you were constructing so you could place the pieces accordingly so you didn't have the particle wood showing. There is a back for the unit, but there are no cutouts for cords so we just left it off since it was going to be against a wall. The wood is extremely good looking wood and the color is great. We got this unit because we needed a unit short enough that we could place our center speaker on and not block the TV. The height on this was absolutely perfect. The box is very heavy, as the pieces inside are very high quality, so you might need an extra hand to help you get the box moved. Once put together, the unit isn't all that heavy, but you will definitely need two people to move it around. Good valve - for a low profile T.V. stand By William G. Gramlich The stand is solid, it weights about 90 pounds so it is solid enought for the newer thin flat panel T.V's. I currently have a 46" T.V. on it now, but will be upgrading to a 60" T.V. soon. The instructions are not very detailed, you must follow them step by step and pay attention to the pictures or you will end up reworking the assembly. It helps to have someone help with the assembly of the trim side pieces and the glass doors. The center pull out door is - so - so as far as quality, but how offer we will use this storage cabnet anyway. The main reason I selected this unit was for the design, we wanted a low profile stand, with at least three shelfs, one for the receiver, cable box and DVD player + an area for a center speaker. So this stand has all of those features with the lowest height that I could find. Its scary at first when you open up the contents and all the parts come out and hardly anything was marked. The instruction were some of the best i've seen, with detailed pictures so even without labels you can tell what to use. The stand is very sturdy, i have a 52" sony tv on it, and all the compartments full and it doesnt show any flexing. I don't know why one reviewer had trouble putting it together; everything fit together better than any other boxed furniture I've assembled. All of the holes matched up. The only tool needed is a medium size Phillips screwdriver. The instructions are pretty much just drawings, but they are clear and there is nothing complicated about the assembly. (If you've never encountered those screw-disks before, just know to insert them so the opening points to where the screw will be inserted.) Two recommendations on putting this together: (1) Use a power screwdriver/drill. My drill battery was drained, so I turned all screws by hand. The 20 screws for the back panels and 28 for the door left me a little sore and blistered. (2) Put the shelves in before adjusting the doors. This is probably obvious to everyone else, but I wasted a lot of time trying to adjust the doors so they met before I realized the shelves serve as a stop. After that, adjusting the doors was easy. Turning the "width" screw on each latch did it for me. I adjusted the doors so there was maybe a quarter-inch gap between the door and the side, using a flashlight to check that the gap was consistent from top to bottom. 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. She had been using an old bookcase for her TV stand and had pretty limited space in her living room. I sent this to her as a house warming gift. She was THRILLED with it. When she called to say thank you, she reported "Wow, this is my only real piece of 'grown up' furniture!" She really likes the slight bowing on the sides and said that the finish is even and rich in color. She said that it gave the piece real character. She did said that it did take her a couple hours to put together but once it was together, it was very stable and was didn't have any wobble even with her heavy television on it. I'm tempted to replace my existing entertainment center with the larger version of this product after hearing her response to it. Turner We had been looking for an audio cabinet for months because of a room reconfiguration. These turned out to be the perfect size and color for the area. The directions were not "Step by step" but were easy enough to work through. The first cabnet (we ordered 2) went together in about 1 1/2 hours. The second took about 40 minutes. The cabnets are solid, hold large audio equipment and have enough air to keep things cool. The glass hinged doors fit and work well and are really easy to adjust if needed. The only improvement that could be made would be to the back of the cabinet. The back comes in 2 pieces (which can leave a gap in the middle if you're not careful with assembly and the "Cut outs" for wire access are not optional, they are pre cut and open. Shelves for the DVD player, stereo, etc. And specialized cabinets for the movies and CDs that keeps them out of sight yet easy to access. Forgione This TV stand is a good size and holds the weight of my 55" TV, which is hard to find for something in this price range. It was a little bit difficult to put together, but not too bad. The directions are not the easiest thing to follow or maybe it was because there were a lot of parts, but anyway, it only took me about 2 hours to put it together. There are a lot of small parts to add to the wood but if you've ever been down this road before it is nothing new. After being put together the stand is rock solid. I am 185 pounds and sat on it without any problems. It looks very pleasing and I had a hard time finding anything negative to write about. There are tiny chips off the edges but most of them are covered up anyway, and thats about it. It looks very good in my living room. Now I can't wait to get my new plasma on top of it. The drawers are very wide and will help keep the area very organized. For the price this stand is 5 stars. Very sturdy and looks very trendy. I could not have been more pleased and I'm glad I didn't plop down double the cash when I am completely satisfied. Mueller For over 2 months my wife and I looked EVERYWHERE to find the perfect unit to house our components since I just mounted the 40" LCD on the wall. We needed certain colors, height and width dimensions and also wanted to hide everything behind glass doors. This unit was PERFECT! I had 2 concerns with this unit though. 1) My Harmony 880 Universal Remote (Buy one of these!!) wouldn't be able to penetrate the frosted glass. 2) Enclosing my components (most importantly the PS3 and receiver) behind doors would cause overheating. I'm happy to report that none of my fears came true. The Harmony works through the frosted doors with ease. I'm also happy to report that my components won't overheat. My last step in the building process was to attach the backing material to the unit. Before doing so I tried to wiggle the unit a little bit and it was rock solid. As a result I left the backing unit off so everything is open in the back. If I was placing my TV on the stand then I probably would have installed the backing but since I don't have that weight I probably don't need the extra support. Trinkle We purchased this stand on Amazon with a little trepidation, having had bad experiences with DIY assembly furniture in the past... especially items made in China. We were very very pleased however with this unit. The materials used are high quality MDF, and every pre-drilled hole and plug was in exactly the right position. (No off-center or missing holes like many previous items we have assembled). The unit is made in Quebec, Canada, and the company is clearly dedicated to quality! The assembly manual was thorough and understandable. Every illustration in the manual showed each piece precisely as it should be oriented, with every pre-drilled hole shown in the illustration. This is critically important, because it eliminates the potential for assembling any piece the wrong way and having to start over. Each piece is clearly marked with a code that is referenced in the manual, and the company ships the unit with a few extra small items like plastic dowels... "just in case"! Assembly was straightforward and timed at exactly one hour... including downing two cups of coffee during assembly! The description on the Amazon site shows this base as limited to a 40" TV, but we found our 47" Vizio (85lbs) fit without issue and looks great on the stand. (The manual indicates a maximum weight on the top shelf at 185lbs.) As others here have mentioned, the smoked glass on the cabinet doors does NOT inhibit infrared remote use. We have a DirecTV satellite box in the cabinet, and the remote works perfectly through the door. Stunning unit for your Home Theater equipment By Aguamarina This unit looks fantastic, it was packaged really well, fairly easy to assemble and had no dents or scratches. I was very pleased to see it was made in Canada and not China like so many other things. The only thing I would change would be to add half an inch to the height of the top shelf, it was just too narrow to take my home theater PC and I ended up having to put it on the bottom shelf (which is plenty big enough). I needed something that would fit my fairly tall center speaker which is 6.125". The middle shelf on this is just slightly taller than that and my speaker fits it perfectly. It was very easy to put together. Just make sure you have a #3 phillips head screwdriver. Everything seemed to fit together nice and tight. Although the instructions and other reviewers say to use 2 people to put the glass in place (it is very heavy) I was able to do it by myself. I have received many compliments on the style and look of this stand. Kluppel As most other people commented, this is an excellent stand, very sturdy, very classy looking. Easy assembly, maybe 30-40 minutes. Before I bought this, I could not find any info on the clearance of the shelfs; I have a high end receiver (Sony STR-DG720) that is about 6.25 inches high, and it wasn't clear to me if that would fit in any of the shelves on this stand. So here is some info on shelf heights and clearance: on the bottom shelf, you can fit anything up to 5.25 inches in height, which is more than enough for DVD player, PS2, PS3, etc., but not a high end receiver. The shelf above has more clearance; units up to 6.5 inches high slide easily in from the front (or back), so my Sony Receiver fits in nicely. Since the glass above (which the TV stands on) is supported by "domed" metal beams, you actually have up to 8.5 5 inches of height, if you slide any unit onto that shelf from the sides This is because the metal frames the whole unit stand on cover a little bit of the total height of the second shelf at the front and back, but not on the sides. I actually was almost able to put my center speaker bar on top of my tall receiver on this shelf when sliding it in from the side, there was just a tenth of an inch or so height missing to do that. But since there is so much horizontal space on both shelves anyway, that was not needed (one can easily fit three components side by side on each shelf). Not too shabby By J. Newman So here's the scope: pros: -Awesome and sturdy stand. I have a 55inch Panasonic TV on it and it fits great. -The shelves are tall enough to fit a PS3, XBOX360, and my ATT U-Verse boxes (laying down) The Wii fits but it has to go further back because it's too tall to sit right up front, but still fits and I have no problems. Lol I like video games I guess. -The design looks very modern and professional and makes your living room look very nice. -Great price from Amazon and I got free shipping. Other sites had it way over what I paid. (If you just bought a 55inch LED TV, price really matters). -Not too hard to set up took about an hour (more about that in the "cons"). -Great height. When I sit on my couch (and they're all different, but mine is pretty average) I can see the middle to the tv at eye level so it's perfect. :-) Cons: -Package and glass is HEAVY. I had to lug it back to my apatment from the main office (about 400m) and I was smoked. Weighs at least 100lbs. I stopped for several breaks and had several people stare at me lol. -The WORST part was that the screw that holds back panel did not screw in no matter what I did It wasn't worth it to pack it all up to return it so I just got a hammer and slammed it in there, but it's not very secure and I just don't use it (don't put cords through the back holes). Since it's a open back, it's just basically cosmetic, but it really bugs me. Make sure you keep the boxes during construction. -Construction could be confusing to some, but it's pretty straight forward if you've ever seen a screw driver before. The real con of it is it does take almost an hour set up. Have a friend help you because once it's constructed, you'll need someone else to help you move it in place (unless you're the Hulk). Hope that helps. I gave it the 4 stars instead of the 5 because the screw problem, but if you don't have that, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Big and Sturdy, Beautiful By Marky It took a long time to get this item when I selected free shipping -- about 2.5 weeks. But it did arrive before the specified arrival date. This is the largest, tallest free-standing TV mount I could find anywhere, with at least nine inches between the two glass shelves. That distance is important for across-the-top air flow if you need fans to cool your components. It does create a commanding presence in the room. When you get the box on your porch, you will be in for a treat! But, do some preparation first. It can be assembled by one person. Haul it into the house. Now, go get the vaccuum cleaner! Don't even open the box without it at hand. The styrofoam will float. A thousand tiny grains everywhere, so vaccuum everything off as you pull it out. Else, you will find styrofoam bits forever. Initially, the directions are basically simple and extra connectors are provided so you absolutely will be putting this thing together Every piece is numbered in sequence of assembly so you can't lose anything. If you are vaccuming, you will avoid cleaning up later. Once you have the parts out and identified decide to put the cabinent together in one process because you have to glue it all together, as well as screw it together. Its takes about 2 hours if you are being careful. Make sure you glue carefully and place the connectors precisely and the bottom cabinent construction will be tight and virtually unbreakable. There was one mis-aligned hole punched in the metal brackets for connection of the bottom of the cabinent to the frame, but this was not a problem because three out of four was quite tight enough. Putting the drawer together is important -- do it carefully -- the first time I tried to push it in I thought I had reversed the sides. But it needed a bit of force and works fine I put a 54 inch 85 lb TV on this stand with a 65 lb receiver on the bottom shelf and a mostly self-supported 105 lb amplifier on the other side of the bottom shelf... I think there may be between 70-90 lbs altogether on the bottom shelf. I didn't want to test it past that! I was already exceptionally pleased that it was so sturdy. Don't overload the glass shelves. I have the center channel on top (10 lbs) and the BDP and cable box on the second. The wire guides are in helpful positions and I did use one for the seven-channel analogue crossover cables to the amp. The others are for power cords, HDMI cables, and speaker cables. Awesome By J. stephenson The stand arrived ahead of schedule. The 133 lbs is no joke, this thing is heavy. I appreciate the weight though; that means stability No wobbles, no shakes. This thing is rock solid quality. It took me a little longer than the other reviewers to assemble it, only because I had to stop and vacuum all the little styrofoam pellets. Best advice, have your vacuum cleaner nearby before you even open the package. The package took a beating during shipping and almost all of the styrofoam was crumbled. I don't think the pictures here do this thing justice. I was awestruck by its beauty as I was assembling it, and got very excited as it started to look like a TV stand. I still stop and stare at it as I pass through the room. For supporting a 52" Samsung, this does the job extremely well. By Vincent Yau I shopped for a TV stand big enough to fit a 61" DLP TV and I went everywhere from Wal-mart to Best Buy to Ikea (online). This is the stand to get. This stand looks amazing in black metal and black tempered glass. Wal-mart has some cheap particle board set for roughly the same price as this item. Best Buy has two classes of TV stands, those in their Magnolia section (which look great but run $1300+, I might as well get another TV) and their more moderately priced units run $299-$600. This unit still looks better than any of the stuff I saw in that section and it's bigger. There was a really basic particle board Ikea TV stand (Lack) for big TVs for $69, but they didn't deliver that model nor is there an Ikea store near where I live. And I'm glad there's not because I found this gem next. This bad boy is 90+ pounds HEAVY and I really felt sorry for the sole UPS guy trying to carry it up the hill to my door but made me appreciate the fact that I didn't have to lug a unit in my car from a nearby store Ideally takes two people to setup for alignment purposes, but building it out is really easy and quick and the instructions are a snap. I'd probably build out the metal frame first, move it to where you want it, then put the glass on. My only concern with the stand is that one of the parts came scratched and slightly dented. Luckily it was one of the support beams that runs underneath the glass and you can't see it anyway so I really didn't care because I was so satisfied with the unit after it was done, but this review probably would've been a different story if it had been one of the visible bars. 30 of 30 people found the following review helpful. Functional and sleek By L. Lestha I confess that this stand really doesn't go with our home's colonial styling but, then again, neither does our 52" Sony Bravia XBR The stand does however suit the flatscreen beautifully in style. I went oversize on the stand (60" stand for a 52" flatscreen) because I wanted a little 'margin of error' around the television so we'd be more likely to bump into the stand than the television and thus reduce the chance of knocking the television over. The stand is pretty darn heavy. The frame isn't at all heavy, it's the three thick glass shelves (with the topmost shelf being especially thick) that add all the weight. I used the thin styrofoam type packing wrap to handle the shelves, which helped my grip as well as keep the glass fingerprint-free. Assembly might have been tedious but I worked while watching television so I didn't notice the passing of time. Everything lined up nicely and went together without even a single muttered curse. Knowing my husband's proclivity for spontaneously rearranging furniture, I stuck some heavy duty felt pads onto the bottom of the feet before I loaded the stand with the glass shelves The 1" felt pads fit nicely into the bottom of the feet and allowed me to shift the stand on the hardwood floor even after it was weighted down. (Obviously, only do small, careful 'tweaks' to the positioning of the stand while the television is on it, otherwise remove the television before moving the stand! I know that should be obvious but...) As others have mentioned, the shelves are not actually anchored onto the stand but the little rubbery adhesive nubs included do add plenty of friction as well as protection and the weight of the glass, even unladen with equipment, keeps the shelves pretty firmly in place -- unless perhaps you live in earthquake territory and, if you do, you probably should consider something that doesn't contain huge glass shelves, even if the glass is tempered. I do not agree with other reviewers about the lack of doors doors would only slow the accumulation of dust, not stop it, and the doors would actually make it a more difficult to clean, difficult to assemble, etc. The simplicity of the style.

Edwards I bought this for my wife to replace my ugly bachelor style MDF/cinder Block "entertainment" unit. I was very happy with the price, and more than impressed with the packaging to prevent damage during delivery. Be ready to have someone help you move it into your home as it is incredibly heavy for one person. I had to flip it end over end to walk it through my front door (this is not the recommended procedure in case you are wondering). If you have stairs, setup your chiropractor appointment first. From that point I opened the box and took out all 5 million parts. I opened the directions and got started. There is nothing complicated about assembly, but set aside an easy 3-5 hours to work on it. Having built many of these "type" of various units, I now prefer to take my time and double check everything before I get half way through a project and have to start over I suggest the same. Almost every piece on this unit requires that you glue many wooden pegs for support. While I like this from a construction standpoint, I'd be lying if I said it did not take me a while to complete it. Over all the stand is functional, the perfect size for my Sony 60" XBR TV. It holds my 4 main components and all different type of remotes function through the glass. The drawer is nice as it holds extra remotes so I know where to find them. I also like that the back is solid wood and not cheap cardboard....so there is a lot of support. The only "Con" is that the center speaker section in the center of the stand is not big enough to hold any real quality center speaker. Mine is currently on the floor in front of the TV stand as a result. At this time I'm not sure how we plan to remedy that. All in all I'm happy with the stand If you have the time and you have the brawn, then I would more than recommend this stand for you. 12/4/2010 Update: It's been almost 3 years. The furniture has held up well in day to day living. We have an 18 month old now who likes to hit it a lot with toys. Over all it has stood up well to this punishment. I usually just draw over it with a black felt tip marker and you never see it without CLOSE inspection. I now have Wii and a computer in it. They both breath in the box OK, but not great. Gibson Like many other reviewers, the assembly took a while, but it was well worth it (especially for the price.) The stand is very sharp looking. The dark wood color blends very nicely with my the "Touch of Color" red border on my Samsung LN52A650 Shelves are the perfect size for my receiver and other components. The glass doors allow for IR signals to pass through. The center shelf could actually fit my cable box, but i chose to put it behind the glass door for now. There isn't much ventilation for components. My Xbox 360 and PS3 get extremely hot, even with the doors open. I recommend cutting some holes in the back to increase air flow. The center shelves are almost useless, I have yet to find any decent center channel speaker that will fit on the shelf. You can only fit very small components on the center shelves, some cable boxes may fit. I currently am storing some DVDs and some other junk on the center shelves. It would be better if the draw was bigger and there was only one shelf. Overall I am happy with this purchase. By August West AAA Home Furniture Discounts lacks integrity should be avoided at all costs. I have dealt with hundreds of Sellers in the Amazon Marketplace and AAA Home Furniture Discounts is by far the worst. Pro: well engineered, all pre-drilled holes right on. While pressed board with a dark laminate wood finish, it looks good assembled. I saw assembled tables in $400-700 range that couldn't match the quality of this unit. Cons: I'm pretty handy with tools, assembling, etc. and it took me 4-5 hrs, but can be assembled by most anyone if you follow the easy to read diagram. Buy a small container of wood glue, you need it, because the 2 tubes sent were rock solid. Have a wet cloth available to wipe off excess glue from surface before it dries as you are required to use about 20 wood dowels in putting some pieces together. Be careful in middle shelf assembly. If not you end up with unfinished end of middle shelf(just above pull out drawers) facing out. Diagram really doesn't show this potential problem area. Good for the price By Burnie Dem My husband and I purchased this tv stand because it was on sale and the dimensions looked like they'd fit the tv and components (unlike other stands we checked out). We opted for super saver shipping and surprisingly the box showed up two days later! Super easy to put together (I could use my drill instead of a stupid allen wrench). Stand looks great but is a little flimsy - the side panels are not even 1/4 inch thick. Works for us, though, since our TV isn't heavy and it's not going to be moved around much. Only suggestion I have for others is to measure the DEPTH of your components (dvd, cable box) including the cables that stick out in the back. We measured our cable box but didn't account for the cables, and the box hangs off the front by about an inch. Material is light and flimsy. We received our unit with a broken leg. You could see where they had driven a brad nail to secure the joining frame, which in-turn caused the wood to split. Additionally, when we were assembling the unit, we found that one of the braces was a fourth of an inch smaller than the other. I had to loosen the screws on both sides causing noticeable gaps in the fit and finish. Lastly, they shorted me one of the assembly screws. As I'm sure it is no surprise, I wasn't too happy with this purchase. Trying to repack and return this type of product is a pain, especially when you're looking forward to using something that you've been patiently waiting to receive only to then have to return and wait again. Impressed By Heavenshounds I recently had my TV sitting on the floor as my prior TV stand was too small. I found this TV Stand because it was affordable, matched my current furniture, and had free shipping. Shipping was nice, it was very well packaged, and I usually get stuff beat up and broken because it has to come all the way up to Alaska but this arrived intact, only issue was one corner was the slightest bit depressed but it didn't bother me, and even when I look hard it's hard to notice. The color is perfect, a dark espresso, almost black in dim light - richly colored and very nice. The knobs are a matte silver and go nicely with the espresso color. Putting it together was easy, I have but together many pieces of furniture and this one fell towards the easy medium side. One thing to note: to keep the screws from showing they included espresso colored wood plugs which is great, but be sure to have a rubber mallet to knock them into place because the stand will not look quite right without this tool The things that have to line up just right (i.e. the magnets for the opening door) are already put together. I had no problems with anything else lining up. My TV is large and very heavy and this TV stand supports 200 pounds with no problems noted. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because when I put my TV on it, it got a little scratched and the espresso color rubbed off and showed the white wood under it. I fixed this with black shoe polish and its fine now, but I wish the espresso layer of color was a bit harder to have come off. Almost perfect JA Brown When this finally arrived, I was a little 'disappointed that he had several minor errors that were repaired with the cursor included to "deluxing" but fortunately, these spots were all about saving an interior. In the picture above product, you can not see that both partitions are shelves of support that may be a problem for those using SoundBars to sound, but fortunately the shape of objects can be placed close to the front on the top shelf inside. Once assembled, and a person can do, looks good. I would recommend having a rubber mallet on hand to help some of the pieces fit. It looks good, but as expected with mobile blacks, is a magnet powder. Finally, it seems that ships from Canada, and up to two days before arrival I could not see an estimate of the date of shipment. By do it myself This is a nice looking contemporary corner unit and is fairly easy to set up. Two people should be involved, because you will need an extra set of hands to turn the unit over when you are done. I had the back (narrow side) facing me for the assembly; then it's one turn back towards the corner and another turn and you're done! The reason for a 4 star rating was that the holes in the cable management bracket (on the bottom) did not exactly line up onto the screw plates on the underside of the top glass. I used a round metal file to slightly enlarge both brackets on the outside of each L-shaped bracket Extra parts are supplied. I also used some WD-40 to lubricate the screw threads to make installing easier. That, along with the metal bars is slightly bent, makes everything seem a bit 'wobbly. There are also two side dents. One can say that can happen during transport, except the respective sides seem unable to get in touch with what might have caused these bruises (bruises were acute, where the box was covered with polystyrene intact). I had to return the first because of a manufacturing defect. Two pre-installed threaded fittings were in the wrong holes, preventing the intended fasteners from fitting into those holes, and making assembly impossible The replacement was free of defects. 2. The packaging is minimal, and other parts of the first one were damaged in shipping. The replacement had no damage. 3. Actual defects aside, the parts all took a little coaxing to get them to line up and fit together. If you look at the finished piece carefully you can see where some edges don't quite line up, or a support isn't exactly vertical. Other possibly useful information: It's very short for a TV stand, only about 16 inches tall. Assembly Instructions of TV Stand By INFANTRY I had a most disappointing experience with the assembly of Poundex TV Stand From the Assembly Chart provided, I tried to assemble it for 4 hours but in vain. Finally I had to pay $20 to a professional carpenter to assemble it. Exact placing of Item H has not been described adequately nor the fact that it has to be split in 3 parts which was the main cause of the problem. This aspect needs correction in Step 1.The assembly steps are from Top to Bottom whereas it will facilitate if these are described from Bottom to Top . The item came chipped on three places, one right upper corner, second right rear corner and third 2 in right from left corner. This was a Bad Deal and I regret making this choice.
