This sleek black TV console, from Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture leader Prepac, supports a flat-plasma or LCD television in style while supplying ample media storage. Designed for up to 60-inch screens, the TV console holds DVD/Blu-Ray players, DVR, and video game systems like Wii, Xbox 360, or Playstation 3 in three open component compartments with two adjustable 21-by-15-3/4-inch shelves. A sliding back panel and three cable holes allow easy access for cable management. For media storage, two cabinets are provided. Each storage cabinet contains two adjustable 16-1/2-by-4-1/2-inch media shelves in the cabinet and one adjustable 15-3/4-by-4-1/2-inch shelf for the cabinet door, to create five shelf spaces per cabinet. The console offers space for 212 DVDs, 462 CDs, 120 VHS cassettes, or a combination of the above media. Prepac crafted the TV console out of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and Melamine laminate. Just under the console’s profiled top, a curved apron stretches between the two cabinets for increased strength. The console stands on brushed metal dowel legs that adjust for various height needs. With legs under each corner, a fifth leg positioned beneath the console’s center lends extra support. The console sustains up to 150 pounds. The cabinet doors open by pulling on the brushed metal handles. To clean, wipe the TV console with a damp cloth. Take care not to spill on the MDF as it is not waterproof and will disintegrate if exposed to excess moisture. Shipped flat with foam injection packaging, the console comes with all hardware necessary for home assembly. For faulty parts, consumers benefit from a one-year, free part replacement program. Prepac covers this item with a 5-year limited warranty. The TV console measures 58 inches wide by 19-3/4 inches deep by 26-3/4 inches high and weighs 125 pounds assembled.

Affordable and economic class of Ian Young, We have read many reviews on other pages on this subject, with a fair share to be negative. Reading between the lines, I assumed that there were people who were in trouble, unable to follow instructions, or had unrealistic expectations. We played and ordered this product. It came at the right time, in two large boxes. All the pieces were in perfect condition. It took nearly two-hour meeting, while watching Austin Powers during assembly (a distraction, to say the least.) My girlfriend helped me on several occasions, setting the top, hold the door in place while I attached, and why. .. it was certainly easier with a second set of hands of those stages of assembly. I took my time, be sure to use a small blanket to protect the face, while turning on the top and sides during assembly. Although there was a lot of parts that I was short (one put metal plates on the door of the magnetic lock) only one screw I could with the one I had around the house to replace. For those who want to be your perfect floor level have complained, or it is not mounted directly, I wonder if they realize that the legs have adjustable feet on it? Our house is over 100 years old, and is anything but level, and by adjusting the feet, it is be level and stable sets. Overall for the price, this represents an excellent value piece. It is in no way heirloom quality and of course the price will not be. Once installed, it is to look beautiful. It fits our 52 "LCD perfect, with a little room on each side. The center has space for a DVD player, home theater receiver, a cable box, and center speaker. The only slight drawback is that it is a little short on depth for all cables behind electronics. We wanted something not too deep, so we are happy, but it's hard to get the two rear center sliding panels to close the whole way, with all the cables are pulled through the clippings However, there is room for about 200 DVD cases. For a laminate, chipboard, assemble-it-yourself center tv cheap enough, you're not going to find something much better. It looks and works great! 28 of 28 people found this review helpful. Article Great for the price. CS takes about 2.5 hours to install with 2 people. I have mine on a soft carpet, so there is some 'swing ... but should be robust enough wood or carpet store. There is room enough to meet more than 200 DVDs inside the doors. I have a 50 "plasma on it, and everything looks good. My only complaint is that it takes a while" to get the strong rubbing dirt and fingerprints, when the fact is increasing. But it is a great item for the price. 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. Nice product, which is not horrible to put together by John H stand was delivered to my door in two very heavy boxes. I opened it last night and went to work about 6 hours. I was watching a basketball game as well, so I have a lot of breaks. I finished the installation in about 5 hours by myself. It was not difficult, but the instruction sheet is not the best. Here are some tips for you ... 1) Wait until the end to nail the boards. This makes it easier for you to doors that are the hardest part of the process to install. I did not, and I wish I had. Again very carefully, because I accidentally got a nail in sidewall ... 2) Make sure the doors when you put together the finished page correctly, (at the top to the outside). This, I realized as I sat on the door fronts. The instructions are in black and white, it's a bit hard to understand this.
